The
Empowered
Family
Laywer
Framework

Excel your firm's reputation with a framework underpinned by rigorous psychosocial research. Give your lawyers current, scientifically informed knowledge, skills, tools, and strategies to better understand their client's & their own psychosocial needs, supporting them right from the initial client meeting and beyond. Supersede your firm's reputation and referrals.

This programme is born from years of researching human behaviour from both a psychological and sociological perspective and given heart through the lived experience of divorce. Family lawyers do an incredible job in intensely pressured environments. But, if equipped with the knowledge to better understand the psychological, sociological, and long-lasting impact of divorce on all involved, their practice would take on a new depth, leading to better outcomes and ultimately hitting the firm's bottom line. Nina is a member of Resolution, sitting on the board for Leicestershire. This framework has been developed in connection with some incredible family lawyers to ensure significant impact and ROI.

What is it?

‘The Empowered Family Lawyer Framework’ has been designed in conjunction with specialist family lawyers, clinical and academic psychologists to create a scientifically underpinned, trauma-informed programme specifically for family lawyers.

Over the span of one year, this program will equip family lawyers with cutting-edge, scientifically informed knowledge, skills, tools, and strategies to better understand their client's psychological needs. Benefiting, thus the firm’s revenue.

This program is delivered through monthly in-person workshops. Each workshop is focused on a different psychological, sociological or logistical element of client interaction and lawyer wellbeing. Lawyers on this programme will become increasingly curious about themselves and their clients, leading them to create empowering client relationships, superseding client expectations.

Key Benefits

Practice | Client | Revenue

  • Client-centred communication: When family lawyers have the opportunity to learn about the psychosocial journey that divorcing individuals experience, communication founded on trust and rapport will flourish. This will lead to a more effective legal journey and higher client satisfaction.

  • Stress management & emotional intelligence: Learn strategies to understand and manage both your and your client's emotions during high-pressure situations. This will improve decision-making and conflict resolution between the client and their ex-spouse.

  • Psychological approach to client engagement: Drawing on the latest psychological, sociological and neuroscientific research, lawyers will better understand their client behaviours, motivations, and biases, making client interactions more empathic, validating, and empowering.

  • Increased referrals and revenue: The program will give family lawyers the current, relevant research-informed knowledge to exceed client expectations. This will lead to more five-star reviews and organic word-of-mouth referrals—the key to driving the firm's revenue.

  • Ongoing specialist support: With a full year of in-person monthly workshops and expert guidance, strategies will be implemented gradually, allowing time for embedded application and reflection throughout.
